When is the golf tournament?

Our 2015 event is taking place on Monday, November 13th, 2017. Registration will open at 8:30 am and the shotgun start will commence promptly at 10:00 am following our Opening Ceremonies.

Where is the golf tournament?

The OCSOT Semper Fi tournament is held annually at the Coto De Caza Golf & Racquet Club in Coto De Caza. Both the North and South courses are utilized for the tournament with the dinner and banquet reception held at the Coto De Caza Clubhouse facility immediately following the tournament.

What are the tournament fees?

Players may either register to participate as an individual golfer or with a group of four. Registration Fees (after October 27, 2017) Individual Golfer = $600.00 Golf Foursome = $2,400.00

What does my registration fee include?

Registration fees include entry in to the golf tournament, green fees, a gift card for the pro shop, and dinner at the banquet reception immediately following the tournament. Additional expenses (i.e. drink tickets, player package cards, raffle tickets, auction bids) are not included in your registration fees.

I have someone who wants to join me for dinner but does not want to golf. Is there a fee to attend the dinner?

Yes – the cost to attend the banquet reception is $150.00 per person and may be paid in advance or at the door (cash and credit cards are accepted).

Can I pay to register/play on the day of the tournament?

Absolutely! The cost to register the day of is the same as the late registration fee ($600.00 for individuals /$2,400.00 for golf foursome) and may be paid either via cash, major credit card, or check.

I am working on forming a group of players but don’t have all of my names yet. What is the deadline for submitting player names?

We ask that all player information is submitted to us by no later than November 1, 2017; we understand, however, that changes to registered players may occur. If you have replacement players or if you do not have all the names for your group, we ask that you notify us in writing prior to the tournament so that we may take note of the pending changes. Any teams that are missing names of players will be asked to check in on the day of the tournament at the “Unassigned” line where we will verify the group info and complete the registration process.

I am registering as an individual – will I be assigned a partner or will I be added to another group?

Individuals are typically assigned to other golfers that are registered as individual players to form teams of two or four. Typically teams of two will be joined with another twosome to form groups of four.

How do the shotgun assignments work?

Shotgun assignments are determined by the Coto De Caza Golf Director and an OCSOT Executive Committee Member. A total of two groups of four (2 “foursomes”) are assigned randomly to each hole either on the north or south course.

Can I request to play with another group or team?

Yes, absolutely! If you know of another group or registered participants that you would like to be assigned to, please notify Brandon Abbey by emailing ba@ocsot.com. We ask that all requests are submitted by no later than November 1, 2017.

What happens at registration and why is it important for me to attend?

All players are required to attend registration so that we may confirm your attendance and also notify you of your golf cart number and to receive your shotgun assignment; in addition to receiving your tournament information, you will also receive a gift card to the pro shop. These gift cards are distributed at registration ONLY and must be redeemed prior to the start of the tournament. Other things you may look forward to at registration includes entry in to raffle contests, silent auction bidding, a preview of live auction items, and an opportunity to purchase player package cards (which includes mulligans, entry in to tournament contests, and more).

I would like to volunteer to assist with this event. How do I go about signing up to help out?

I have an item or service I would like to donate to the event. What items do you accept and how do I arrange to get my donation to you?

We welcome tangible and financial donations of all types!  We are currently collecting goods, services, and other items for use in our player gift bags, silent auction, live auction, and raffle items.  If you have an item or service you would like to donate, please email our event coordinator, Kathy or Kari, at team@ocsot.com.  We ask that donors refrain from providing fliers and other printed literature or forms as they tend to litter the course.  All businesses and individuals providing a donation will be mentioned in our event program; if you are interested in advertising in our event literature please complete a registration form and select the appropriate advertising level.

I am interested in participating as a vendor at the tournament. What type of vendors do you allow to attend and what are the requirements?

We are currently accepting vendor applications for our 2017 event. There is no cost to participate as a vendor – we do ask, however, that you donate goods or services for the tournament and/or reception. Vendors are invited to participate in the golf portion of our event. To apply please complete our Vendor Application and return it by no later than October 1st.
